History and heritage meet in this Victorian chapel, center of Washington and Lee University activities since its construction in 1867.

Visit and learn the story of the 250 year history of the University, whose benefactor was George Washington and whose president was Robert E.Lee
- two of America's most famous generals - who just happened to be related by marriage.

Nov. 1-March 31: Mon-Sat. 9-4, Sun. 1-4
HOLIDAY HOURS
For the Thanksgiving holidays Lee Chapel & Museum will close Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at noon and reopen Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 1:00 p. m .
For the Christmas and New Year's holidays, the Chapel closes December 23, 2009 at noon and remains closed until Sunday afternoon, January 3 at 1:00 p. m., when normal operations resume.
CHANGING EXHIBITION
"Robert E. Lee: Lasting Ties With West Point" is now open in our changing exhibition gallery.
Also visit our new exhibition entitled, "Not Unmindful of the Future: Educating to Build and Rebuild a Nation."
Visitors may view the Lee Family crypt and will also find a new, self-guided tour of Lee's Office.
Remembering Robert E. Lee Program October 12, 2009 at 12:30pm
The Fall program honoring Robert E. Lee will feature Dr. Gary Gallagher, noted author and Lee Scholar. Details will follow.
